Medical Marijuana, Inc. CEO Shares His Expertise on Cannabis Investing with The Financial Exchange

Dr. Stuart Titus joined The Financial Exchange with Barry Armstrong Wednesday morning to chat about the rapid growth of the cannabis industry.

Listen to the interview here:

Dr. Titus, President and CEO of Medical Marijuana, Inc., first revealed to Barry Armstrong and The Financial Exchange listeners the diversified portfolio of companies under Medical Marijuana, Inc., which covers pharmaceuticals to supplements, including CBD oil distributors HempMeds®, network marketing company Kannaway, and cannabis-focus biotech companies Kannalife™ Sciences and AXIM® Biotechnologies.

The topic then swung to the incredible growth potential of the cannabis industry. Medical Marijuana, Inc. was the first publicly traded cannabis company in the U.S. and the first to distribute federally legal CBD hemp oil products over state lines. Medical Marijuana, Inc. also opened a number of new markets to CBD oil, including Brazil and Mexico where the company’s CBD products are classified as prescription medications.

Additionally, Medical Marijuana, Inc. ships its products to over 40 countries internationally. The company’s subsidiary Kannaway has just completed a two-week tour of the European Union with the hopes of expanding the CBD oil market there. With more markets than ever before opening to cannabis products like medical marijuana and CBD hemp oil, the cannabis industry is set to boom before the end of the decade.

Dr. Titus was next led into a discussion of the newest developments in the medical marijuana industry. He detailed several published medical studies concerning the efficacy of cannabis as a treatment option for a number of conditions due to the plant’s cannabinoids interaction with the endocannabinoid system. In Dr. Titus’s opinion, the study of cannabinoids and their potential as medications will keep researchers busy for many years to come.

Finally, Dr. Titus revealed the financial environment surrounding cannabis. Due to banking restrictions on a federally questionable industry, many cannabis companies have unique problems in what has largely become a cash industry. Dr. Titus hinted at options like Bitcoin gaining traction in the industry as businesses turn to alternative currencies, and he is confident the industry will soon discover a solution.

Dr. Titus and Medical Marijuana, Inc. subsidiary HempMeds® are in Boston this week for the 4th Annual Cannabis World Conference and Business Expo. Dr. Titus spoke twice on Thursday at the event. First he took the stage in the morning for his presentation titled Cannabis as a Medicine. He then joined the Investing in Publicly Traded Companies panel in the afternoon.
