Medical Marijuana, Inc. CEO Interviewed on Booming Cannabis Industry

Oklahoma took steps recently to potentially legalize recreational use marijuana in the state. This news comes right on the heels of Oklahoma legalizing medical marijuana. Dr. Stuart Titus, CEO of Medical Marijuana, Inc., was interviewed regarding the news for a Benzinga article.

“Oklahoma, a conservative state had previously sued the federal government as they claimed a good deal of Colorado cannabis had been making its way into their state,” Dr. Titus told Benzinga. “With recent medical cannabis passage, the state is moving rapidly forward toward a vote in November on Adult Use cannabis. Who would have ever thought of recreational cannabis in Oklahoma? Amazing the shift in attitudes and sentiment.”

Subsidiary Company HempMeds® Mexico Featured in Coverage of Mexico’s Legalization Efforts

An in-depth look at the current state of Mexico’s legalization efforts was published this past week in Mondi Di Canapa. The article details how HempMeds® Mexico was the first company authorized to distribute CBD products in the country in 2016 and the resulting push for medical cannabis access.

The company’s flagship product, RSHO-X™ was specifically developed to contain no detectable THC to meet the strict regulations put in place by the Mexican authorities at the time. Since then, the Mexican government has begun to shift on its cannabis policy, allowing CBD products with less than 1% THC, as medical cannabis becomes a reality in the country.

According to the piece, “Raul Elizalde, [HempMeds® President, Latin America, and father of a special needs child] is among the first advocates of legal access to CBD for therapeutic purposes through the Foundation ‘Por Grace’ and brought this case forward before the Mexican government.” He now brings this experience to his efforts to expand access to CBD products across Latin America.
