(OTC:MJNA), the first-ever publicly traded cannabis company in the United States, announced today that U.S. Paralympic athlete Samantha Tucker has joined its subsidiary Kannaway® as a company spokesperson to help spread awareness on the benefits of hemp cannabidiol (CBD) for athletes and active consumers.
“Samantha is exactly the type of representation that we need on our Kannaway Sports Team,” said Kannaway CEO Blake Schroeder. “She has defeated the odds and used an unfortunate accident to become a world-class athlete. Samantha is a U.S. Air Force Veteran and Paralympic athlete. She began shooting in USA Archery’s national events in 2015, starting with the AAE Arizona Cup Para World Ranking Event. Afterwards, she completed in the 2015 Parapan Am Games in Toronto and the World Archery Para Championships in Germany. She now shoots in the compound women’s open category for the U.S. Paralympic Team and competed in the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Paralympic Games.
“As an amputee and an archer, basically a one-handed individual, I put a lot of strain on my shoulders, arm and hand.
