The San Diego County-focused real estate and development news publication covered the expansion of Medical Marijuana, Inc.’s warehouse facilities, which are more than tripling in size.
The extensive expansion of Medical Marijuana, Inc.’s warehouse facilities in Poway, California, was the focus of a recent article in The Daily Transcript. MJNA announced this week that it has more than tripled the size of its warehouse, from 3,000 to 13,000 square feet, to account for a rapid growth in sales.
Thor Kamban Biberman of The Daily Transcript – focusing on real estate and development in San Diego County – touched on MJNA’s growing sales that prompted such an increase in warehouse space. The expansion will also better prepare the company to meet the demands of the nation’s booming CBD market, which is expected to experience a 55% compounded growth to hit $1 billion by 2020.
The Poway warehouse facility is used to package and supply cannabidiol (CBD) hemp oil products for MJNA and its subsidiaries Kannaway™ and HempMeds®. The expansion, which will soon provide approximately 20 new operations employment opportunities, will allow the companies to provide more CBD products to customers in the United States and around the globe.
The article features quotes from Medical Marijuana, Inc. CEO Dr. Stuart Titus and Kannaway CEO Black Schroeder, who explained the larger facilities and increase in staff would increase the company’s capacity to process orders as much as five-fold.
MJNA spokesman Andrew Hard shared with the news source the company’s plans to eventually open eight to 10 warehouse facilities throughout the U.S. to account for recent federal approvals for CBD products in Mexico, Brazil, and elsewhere.
