Major Business Media Lists MJNA as CBD Stock to Buy

Medical Marijuana, Inc. was featured as a top 4 CBD stock in recent coverage by Fox Business, Motley Fool, and Nasdaq.com in coverage this week. Investors are getting excited about the predicted growth the CBD market is expected to experience over the next four years.

According to an article on the Motley Fool, “There’s an even hotter industry that’s budding from within the marijuana movement: cannabidiol (CBD). CBD is the non-psychoactive cannabinoid best known for its perceived medical benefits, and since it won’t get a user high, it’s become an intriguing means of luring in new consumers who’ve never tried a cannabis-related product before.”

The article continues, “According to a report from the Brightfield Group, worldwide CBD sales are expected to soar from $591 million in 2018 to as high as $22 billion by 2022, which works out to a compound annual growth rate of 147%, for those of you keeping score at home.”

With so much anticipated growth surrounding the CBD market, many investors are looking to get involved in the CBD industry. Medical Marijuana, Inc. was the first U.S. company entirely within the cannabis space to be publicly traded. Medical Marijuana, Inc. is also the first company to create and distribute hemp-derived CBD products.

“Like its peers, Medical Marijuana has seen its top line moving in the right direction. Third-quarter revenue, reported back in November, was slightly over $16.8 million, representing a 116% year-over-year increase… In the third quarter, the company generated an operating profit, after expenses, of $0.6 million,” an article on Fox Business reads.

Forbes Explores Demand for CBD Supplement Market in the U.S.

The CBD industry in America was under Forbes’ lense when the business news outlet looked at the current state CBD in the U.S., regulatory uncertainties around CBD products, and the outcry for access to these products by U.S. consumers.

Following announcements by both CVS and Walgreens revealing their intention to carry CBD products on their shelves in the near future and the FDA’s response, Forbes published an article investigating CBD’s projected growth and potential hurdles to this growth.

CEO of Kannaway Blake Schroeder was interviewed by Forbes for the article. “For Schroeder, who supports CBD being regulated as a dietary supplement, the main difference comes down to access. “If you can buy something online or in a store without having to see your doctor first, people are going to have better access to the product,” Schroeder told me.”

“I think that you’re going to see more governments the non-psychoactive components as good for people. It will cut down on medical costs and reliance on certain prescriptions. There’s a lot of opportunities out there, but there’s a lot of education that needs to be done as well,” Schroeder continued.

The article also looked to our southern border with an interview with Raul Elizalde, president of HempMeds® Latin America. Following his fight against the Mexican government for access to CBD for his daughter, Raul was invited to speak before World Health Organization officials on the status of CBD. The article reads, “Elizalde supports broader access to the medicinal properties and effects of CBD by considering it a health supplement, as well as a clinically-tested drug.”

Formulated with the cannabinoids CBD and CBG, AXIM®’s topical cream was created by the company to be a non-prescription treatment for the effects of atopic dermatitis. “With this product, AXIM expects to enter an atopic dermatitis market that is valued at $5 billion,” the article reads.

Then AXIM® was in the news again this week when it announced that it has entered an agreement to begin clinical studies on a pair of potential new drugs under its portfolio of intellectual properties.

Both products are chewing gums containing cannabinoids and utilize the company’s patented chewing gum delivery mechanism. CanChew® Rx is formulated with cannabidiol (CBD); MedChew® with Dronabinol makes use of synthetic THC.
