Medical Marijuana, Inc. Appoints New Director of Canadian Operations

SAN DIEGO, June 28, 2018 — Medical Marijuana, Inc. (OTC:MJNA), the first-ever publicly traded cannabis company in the United States, announced today that Kenneth Smith has been hired as the company’s Director of Canadian Operations.

Last week, Medical Marijuana, Inc. announced its partnership with Canadian cannabis company Salvation Botanicals and Smith will now serve as the liaison for this partnership.

“I’m excited to help spearhead the future of Medical Marijuana, Inc.’s presence in Canada with this new position,” said Smith. “I’ve been working closely with our Canadian partners to come up with many out-of-the-box ideas to meet the increased demand for high-quality products in Canada.”

Smith, who is the owner of an ethically-sourced hemp clothing and accessory company called Hempy’s, is a Harvard Business School graduate and has held executive positions in a variety of different industries throughout the U.S. Now, Smith is bringing his expertise to Medical Marijuana, Inc. as they continue to break ground in the Canadian cannabis market. Smith will be leading efforts to increase the availability of reliable cannabis products in Canada.

“We’ve been longtime friends with Kenneth and his company and believe that he has the business skills to help our company succeed in this quickly-expanding market,” said Medical Marijuana Inc. CEO Dr. Stuart Titus. “I have always admired his forward-thinking entrepreneurship and I believe that he shares the same passion for cannabis and hemp that our company does.”

Medical Marijuana, Inc. produces industry-leading CBD brands including Real Scientific Hemp Oil™(RSHO™), Dixie Botanicals® and Cannabis Beauty Defined® in the United States for distribution internationally. With its new partnership with Salvation Botanicals, Medical Marijuana, Inc. will soon be offering its products, and a number of new products, in Canada.

“Salvation Botanicals is honored to be chosen to help facilitate Medical Marijuana’s expansion into the Canadian market, and we look forward to the opportunity to work with Kenneth on this exciting project,” said Salvation Botanicals Founder and CEO Cliff Wiltshire. “We believe that by combining Medical Marijuana’s pioneering pedigree with Salvation’s dedication to manufacturing the highest quality products and standard-setting analytical testing, we will make a significant impact on the Canadian market.”

Smith is joining Medical Marijuana Inc. at a pivotal time for cannabis in Canada. The country recently legalized recreational marijuana use for adults, which is expected to benefit both the medical and recreational cannabis business sectors. Retail sales of recreational cannabis officially start on October 17, 2018.
