RSHO™ Parent Advocate Penny Howard Discusses CBD Hemp Oil; How Daughter’s Living Legacy Is Furthering Science and Medical Research
San Diego, CA – Aug. 9, 2016 – Medical Marijuana, Inc. (OTC: MJNA) announced today that Penny Howard, a Dallas mom who from her own volition has become a spokesperson for the Company’s subsidiary HempMeds®, was featured on Fox News Channel’s Health Talk with Dr. Manny Alvarez, who interviewed Howard about her daughter Harper’s battle with the rare genetic condition CDKL5.
In the Aug. 4 segment, “Harper’s Legacy: Family Donates 5-Year-Old’s Brain to Science After Death From Rare Condition,” Howard tells Dr. Alvarez about how her family found out about HempMeds® Real Scientific Hemp Oil™ (RSHO™) after weeks and weeks of research online.
“It’s extremely encouraging to see a reputable health professional and journalist such as Dr. Manny Alvarez feature a story on Penny Howard,” said CEO of Medical Marijuana, Inc. Dr. Stuart Titus. “We applaud Penny’s courage to continue sharing her daughter’s story, and as we’ve seen time and again in legalization efforts across the nation, families of young children with special needs are helping drive the conversation around cannabis reform by sharing their stories.”
Sadly, Harper Howard passed away on Jan. 8, 2016, due to additional medical complications beyond CDKL5, however, Howard describes to Dr. Alvarez how her daughter’s bold spirit lives on through their decision to gift her 28-month daily cannabidiol (CBD) hemp oil brain and a massive deep tissue sample to medical research. Harper Howard’s donation is already having a profound impact on medical research for a wide range of neurological conditions under the guidance of University of California San Diego School of Medicine’s lead stem cell researcher, Dr. Alysson Muotri.
In addition, posting the progress of her daughter Harper’s journey on Hope4Haper’s Facebook blog became the catalyst for the historic decision by Brazil’s government to import Medical Marijuana, Inc.’s RSHO™ – and subsidize payments for RSHO™ under the Brazilian government’s health care system.
