Mexico is making major, international headlines today as Cofepris, the Mexican Health Department, approved the first permits in Mexico’s history allowing the import of cannabidiol (CBD) hemp oil into the country. Both permits were granted to Alina and Maria Paula, two young girls suffering from epilepsy.
Abelardo Maldonado, Alina’s father, was present at Cofepris today to receive the permit in person. News outlets like Televisa, TV Azteca, Milenio TV, CNN Mexico, and the Associated Press were all there to document this historic moment.
Domestic media outlets have also taken notice of our efforts in Mexico and throughout Latin America, with Reuters publishing an update on our expansion into Mexico along with our growing distribution in Brazil.
